Solar panels, battery backup, and solar water heating — on a roof that can actually carry them.
Most solar companies don't check the roof underneath the panels. Crownline is a roofing company first — we inspect roof age and condition before we design a solar system, so you're not paying to remove and reinstall panels three years later.

Solar thermal water heating built for Florida's sun hours — lower bills, less strain on the grid.
Learn more →Should you replace your roof before installing solar?
If your roof has under 5-7 years of life left, we'll tell you to reroof first — pulling panels to redo a roof later costs more than doing it once, in order. If your roof is sound, we'll say that too. That call comes from a roofer, not a solar sales rep.
What actually still applies — not what most solar sites still advertise
Solar incentive law changed significantly in 2025. Here's the current, verified status — details and sources on each service page.
Federal residential tax credit (Section 25D)
The 30% federal credit for homeowners who buy a system outright does not apply to systems placed in service after December 31, 2025. If a site or salesperson advertises this credit for a 2026 purchase, that's out of date.
Business & lease/PPA credit (Section 48E)
Still phasing out through 2026-2027 for commercial systems and for third-party-owned (lease/PPA) residential systems, since those are owned by a business entity. Ask us whether this path fits your situation.
Florida property & sales tax exemptions
Solar, battery, and solar water heating equipment are excluded from added property-tax value and exempt from state sales tax under current Florida law.
Net metering
Full retail-rate net metering is currently in effect statewide in Florida. This has been legislatively contested before — we'll keep this page current.
